Juice Cleanse Recipes
The Juice Cleanse Recipes using, also known as The Lemonade Diet or the Master Cleanse, is a diet which can help people to lose weight and detoxify or “cleanse” their bodies. It involves fasting by staying away from solid foods. The only thing you are allowed to ingest are fruit juices, in this case, lemonade juice and water. Anything else is strictly forbidden, though.
But not all people agree, medical professionals included, that fasting is for everyone. Physicians say that fasting for an extended period of time can cause serious health complications. So if you plan to go for the Juice Cleanse Recipes, it is advisable for you to do so under a doctor’s supervision. The creator of the Juice Cleanse Recipes, Stanley Burroughs, was not a physician but that does not necessarily mean that this diet won’t work for you.
One of the claims of the Juice Cleanse Recipes is to, well, cleanse your system. Cleansing your system is important. All the toxins in your body is from regular everyday pollutants that you are exposed to. It’s not just only pollutants but also the food we eat and the rigours of everyday stress. All of these harmful substances build up inside our bodies. They line the walls of our intestines making it difficult for our bodies to take in the vitamins and minerals we need to function properly from the food we eat.
As a result, like an old car engine, our bodies will begin to run slower and minds won’t be as sharp as they used to be. Detoxification through detoxifying food intake is a sure way to combat toxins in your body and to flush them out, so to speak. And the Lemonade Diet aims to achieve this. Citrus fruits have vital antioxidants that our bodies need so this diet is proven to cleanse your body and improve your energy levels.
The diet plan is fairly simple. First, you have to make sure that you eat only raw, organic fruits and vegetables three to five days before starting the diet to allow your body to get used to the changes and ease into the diet easier. In a sense, the diet does sound kind of vegan. Also, two days before starting the diet, don’t forget that you should only consume vegetable broths and fruit or vegetable juices. Stanley Burroughs recommends in his book “The Master Cleanse” to only drink freshly squeezed orange juice and water exactly a day before starting the diet itself.
The diet starts in earnest when you only drink a special lemonade for three to five days. Some people actually try the diet for two weeks but doctors do not recommend that you go on for more than five days at most. The lemonade contains the following ingredients are: 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (don’t buy the concentrate, buy the fruit), 2 tablespoons of maple syrup (grade B is highly recommended), 8 ounces of water and 1/10 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (if you can handle it).
Mix everything together in a glass. You can drink this mixture or water as frequently as you like throughout the duration of the diet. You can continue doing this for as you long as you feel comfortable and don’t forget to bring light snacks in case you feel dizzy. Ease out of the diet by doing the same steps as easing into it except in reverse. So do what you did the day before the diet (like drinking orange juice) the day after you decide to quit the Master Cleanse diet.
Be healthy and try this diet.
